Token Value:
- One token is worth one rand: T1 = R1,00.

Tokens per swap:
- For fair trade, tokens per swap are based on the value of the establishments rates.
- A booking value of R3,450 would cost the same amount in tokens, T3,450

Step 3) Capture Value

Spend on travels:
- Swap your tokens with other members in exchange for their services (accommodation or activities).

Sell for cash:
- Surplus tokens can be traded for cash on the TravelSwap-Exchange at R0.50 per token.

Send as a gift:
- Send tokens to “Tourists” (family or friends without listings) as a gift to use at their own leisure (and stop bothering you 😉).
- # Tourists don’t need a listed establishment to receive tokens – they have their own profiles and balances.

Overview

A local currency which can be used to exchange for services at other establishments (accommodation or activities), or exchanged for cash on the TravelSwap-Exchange.

When you accept a swap request, you receive a token amount equal to the currency rate you would have charged a non member for the duration of the stay; for example accepting a 2 night stay through TravelSwap.co.za which is listed on your website for R3,800 will earn you T3,800 tokens.

You can then use your tokens to book accommodation at any establishment listed on the TravelSwap.co.za network, or exchange them for cash on the TravelSwap-Exchange at R0.50 per token.
